Office Hours:
Our staff can be reached during office hours, 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday. and from 8:30
to 5:00 pm on Wednesday. If your child is sick and you think you need
to see a doctor the same day, DO NOT leave a voice mail message.
Instead, press “0”, for the operator and someone will come on the line.
Voice mail messages should only be left for non-emergency calls. All
calls will be returned as soon as possible, and no later than the
following day. Examples for the use of voice mail are for making a
routine appointment or canceling an appointment, billing questions, or
requests for authorization for a referral. Authorizations include school
physicals, day care forms, information on Well-Child Care, information
on shots, and refills. When leaving a message, always make sure your
name and phone number are clearly stated so we can return your call.
After Office Hours, Weekends & Holidays: After the office is closed,
please call (510) 797-7766, dial “0” to reach our answering service and
they will connect you to either a physician on-call or a Pediatric
Advice Nurse. If your child needs medical care in the evening, weekends,
or holidays, he/she will be seen by the physician on- call in the
Emerrgency Room. Every on-call physician is highly trained in all
aspects of pediatrics and we ask for your support when it becomes
necessary to see someone other than your usual physician. You and the
on-call doctor can determine if your child needs to be examined by a
doctor.
