Legislation would increase Medicare coverage of telehealth
Legislation aimed at increasing Medicare's use of telehealth was introduced this week in the House of Representatives. The Medicare Telehealth Parity Act would expand access to telehealth services for stroke, mental health and dialysis; allow coverage of services by occupational therapists, physical therapists, respiratory therapists and other providers; and increase coverage of care for patients with chronic conditions.
